Acting Editor in Chief
Mercy Tempest Turle is a poet,
punk, and educator from Cleve-
land, Ohio. Outside her work
with Dead End and Plum City /
Crooked River, Mercy works
with the Wick Poetry Center
at Kent State University and
Cuyahoga Valley National Park
as an instructor and night
staff coordinator for their
annual “Wick Juniors” poetry
summer camp. Mercy’s poetry
and prose can be found in
Crayfish, Fruitslice, Poetry
Is A Team Sport, and elsewhere,
and was named as a finalist in
the Black Warrior Review
Experimental Forms Contest.
Mercy has organized and
performed readings at several
venues in the Cleveland/Akron
area, including Visible Voice
Books (Tremont), Last Exit
Books (Kent), Rhizome House
(Cedar-Lee), and Zephyr Pub
(Kent). Mercy lives in
Coventry Village with her part-
ner and their snake, Scylla.
